Over the weekend, I travelled to DeLand, Florida (just outside Orlando) to compete in another IMG Jr. tournament at the Victoria Hills Golf Club. I put together two outstanding rounds (77-78-155 @ 5,850 yards) to tie for 9th out of 23 players in a strong field.
The biggest challenge at Victoria Hills came off the tee, where a bad drive would most often find their huge fairway bunkers, or the trees. Accuracy off the tee was key. Over the two days of competition, I hit 25 fairways and 25 greens. It felt good to put together two strong rounds. I feel my game and confidence are coming together, and I look forward to my next tournament (SJGT) in Mobile, Alabama next weekend.
Enjoy some of the pictures my dad took during Sunday’s round!
